Grasshopper team members recently visited Sunbeams Kindergarten in Auckland. Their gardens had become rather weedy. So our team volunteered to help them get back on top of things. The children of Sunbeams had recently been studying bugs so also helped them to find and identify bugs in their garden. The children really enjoyed helping in the garden and learning not only about bugs but about plants and the dreaded weeds that plague our gardens. Grasshoppers relish any opportunity to be involved in our local communities and maybe help to inspire our next generation of horticulturists!
